The true measure of TIME

Time has always been a mystery to everyone of us.The very fact, that it you cannot slow it down, speed it up or even stop it makes it quite impossible to understand.

Many of us complain ‘time has passed very fast’ and some of us complain ‘it has been too slow’. Einstein giving an example for his theory of relativity explains this feeling in a beautiful manner.

Basically its like the uncertainty principle, if you enjoy the moment time tends to pass, and if your not enjoying it time slows down for you, they tend to me mutually exclusive.

Though the above addressed the point, of how time moves for a small interval, integrating many such instances make up our life. In this post im going to talk about another factor which influences our sense of time.

What I’m going to talk about is something that is so intrinsic that we hardly notice it.

Memories!!A memory can change the speed of time sensed by us.
lets say you remember a particular incident(good or bad), after maybe a few months an equally memorable incident occurs. So when you think about the two incidents and the couple of months which have passed, it feels as though time has just flown.

On the other hand say, Between these two incidents there were many others, and when you think back all, these memories together makes you feel how slow time has passed.

This Thought occurred to me when i i st down thinking about my job, well i do remember the time i joined very well. It was a totally new experience. but now when i look back its been 3 months, and theirs nothing i remember of these 3 months (maybe just the weekends ;-) ).

I believe, I should start making my days more eventful, to add more memories to it, to live each moment, to make maximum use of time, and not complain and fret about how i lost time.
